Obama

“Democrats could sell refrigerators to Eskimos before Republicans could sell them blankets.” – Thomas Sowell

Once republicans figure out what they are selling (because all politicians are selling something) things will get interesting again.

Until then, President Obama can continue to have lackluster press conferences like last night without worrying too much.

It’s interesting how your world view colors things.  I am more conservative, so I thought the first press conference from Mr. Public Speaking was a big snoozer.  After it was over, I turned on MSNBC to see what the Lefty Three Musketeers of Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow had to say.

They did not see long winded, confusing answers that were devoid of any energy and had nothing to do with the questions asked.  They saw the President as relaxed, confident and not trying to impress anyone.

Next time you are totally convinced of something, try (really try) to imagine the 180 degree take on it.  I’m not saying you have to agree with them, but you do need to try and understand the loyal opposition.  This is the only way you can then start any real dialogue and try to win them over to your side.
